...FALL IN LOVE WITH AUTUMN IN ARKANSAS...

Take a trip anywhere to immerse yourself into the arts scene of Arkansas during this time of year.  You can't go to an Arkansas town that doesn't have some type of art event all month long like arts & crafts festivals, music festivals, or even festivals for beans & cornbread!  The state fair, which is the most well known festival, can't shadow all of the other favorites around...like this one!

War Eagle Mill on the War Eagle River in Rogers, AR.
War Eagle Mill is a great historic place to enjoy the autumn atmosphere in Arkansas; get an arts & crafts piece to take home with you & a taste of the south made with fresh milled grains from the only working grain mill in Arkansas! The Fall Crafts Fair is Oct. 19-22, 2017 in Rogers, AR.

My husband & I went to this festival a few years ago for the first time.  We had the best time "milling around the grounds," venturing through the hand-made products & craft pieces that people from all over brought to show case, inform, & sell.  The music playing in the air set the mood, & the smell of southern cooked food from the restaurant & food trucks made our mouth water!  We brought home some whipped honey spiced with?
........anyone.........yep, you guessed it, Pumpkin Spice.  That was some of the best honey I've ever tasted.  It was the 1st time to taste whipped honey.  The texture was amazing; it was smooth, airy, & sort of frothy without the bubbliness of a cappuccino.  I purchased the honey from a vendor, but you can also take home some grains, beans, & other tasty products from the mill in the gift store or purchase them online.

...DECORATING FOR FALL WITH AUTUMN INSPIRATION...

Halloween is coming...
Picture
Incorporating Halloween into your autumn decor can be a time saver when it comes to October schedules.  To save time...just snuggle in some Halloween items between the autumn pumpkins, or carve some of the pumpkins already in place on the porch!

A sugar skull pick was added to the plant & a ghost & pumpkin sculpture was added to the still-life display.

...FALL INTO ORGANIZING IN AUTUMN...

Keeping with the small spaces theme...bathrooms are small enough that you should be able to complete them in 1 day as well!  Start with the drawers, then move to the cabinets...add extra shelves or furniture if needed to create an organizational system that works for your family!

...CREATING COLORFUL ART FOR AUTUMN...

Painting pumpkins is always a great option for pumpkin decor!

...COOKING COMFORT FOOD FOR FALL...

Pumpkin Spice Monkey Bread with Caramel & Pecans
Picture
Breakfast food anytime is always a family favorite!  Monkey Bread is a great way to make breakfast quick & easy...I made individual portions for an even easier breakfast!
Picture
Monkey Bread Ingredients:

*Cooking Spray
*1/2 Stick of Butter
*1/2 C. White Sugar
*1 C. Brown Sugar
*1 C. Chopped Pecans
*1 Tbs. Pumpkin Pie Spice
*2 Cans Pumpkin Spice Rolls
Cut the rolls into quarters, roll them in the white sugar.  Mix the brown sugar with the melted butter & pumpkin pie spice to create the caramel sauce.  Spray the muffin pan with cooking spray.
Picture
Layer the sugared rolls with caramel & pecans til almost to the top.  This allows space for the rolls to rise adequately without spilling over the side.  Bake @ 375* for about 15-20 mins.
Picture
Let them cool for about 5 mins.  Twist them out with tongs; they should pop right out!  Put a dollop of icing on top, let it melt, & num-num.  The 1st bite of soft & gooey textures inside contrast the crisp, buttery outside & pecans!

An ooey-gooey mess, that's the best kind of breakfast food...add pumpkin spice to the mix & I've fallin' in love with autumn!
